The Floresville Tigers lost against the Tivy Antlers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Floresville's rough 71-48 loss to Tivy might stick with them for a while. Floresville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Floresville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jordin Johns. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Johns is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Kenzie Huron was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Floresville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Tivy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Floresville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Boerne-Champion at 10:30 a.m. on December 28, 2023. Tivy will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Boerne at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Boerne is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
