After two games on the road, Grandview is heading back home. They will take on the Arapahoe Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grandview will be strutting in after a victory while Arapahoe will be coming in after a loss.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, a fact Grandview proved on Wednesday. They strolled past Cherokee Trail with points to spare, taking the game 52-37.
Grandview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Holtman, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Holtman scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Breven Anderson, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe came up short against Cherry Creek on Wednesday and fell 56-44. Arapahoe has not had much luck with Cherry Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Arapahoe's defeat came about despite a quality game from Cass Henry, who scored nine points.
Grandview's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Arapahoe, they bumped their record down to 7-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's game: Grandview have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4.2 threes per game. It's a different story for Arapahoe, though, as they've been averaging only 4.2 threes per game. Given Grandview's sizeable advantage in that area, Arapahoe will need to find a way to close that gap.
