With a playoff win on the line, Frenchtown rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-20 win over the Whitefish Bulldogs. The victory was nothing new for the Broncs as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Cole Johnson produced another solid performance rushing for 152 yards.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Frenchtown, adding 11 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Brett Kleinsmith: he added nine points with three field goals and another two kicking extra points.

Despite the loss, Whitefish still got an impressive performance from Luke Dalen, who rushed for 127 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries, and also threw for 121 yards and one TD. Dalen's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 rushing yards.
Frenchtown's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Whitefish, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
Frenchtown has already played their next game, a 31-21 victory against Billings Central Catholic on the 21st. Whitefish does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
