Basketball Recap: Riesel Wins Going Away Against Dawson

After losing to Dawson the last time they met, Riesel decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Riesel Indians strolled past the Dawson Bulldogs with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 48-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Dawson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyler Villarreal, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Javier, who posted six points and eight boards.

Riesel's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Dawson, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Riesel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-53 defeat against Mart on the 5th. As for Dawson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-36 loss against Bosqueville on the 5th.
