Baseball Game Preview: Charlotte Christian Knights vs. A.C. Flora Falcons

Charlotte Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against A.C. Flora recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Charlotte Christian will face off against A.C. Flora at 12:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

A.C. Flora will be up against a hot Charlotte Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Charlotte Christian's pitchers stepped up to hand Providence Day an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Jack Beard tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Charlotte Christian let Ivan Andino and Owen Farrell run wild. Andino scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Farrell scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Andino a new career-high in RBI (three). Jacob Reynolds also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, A.C. Flora got the win against Lancaster on Thursday by a conclusive 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Charlotte Christian pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for A.C. Flora, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4-1.
