Battle Ground is 0-10 against Prairie since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Battle Ground Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Prairie Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Battle Ground is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
Battle Ground suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 58-20 loss at the hands of Kelso. While losing is never fun, Battle Ground can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Kelso is ranked 112th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Skylar Fridriksson, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Battle Ground struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Prairie won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-38 walloping at the hands of Mountain View.
Battle Ground's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.5 points per game. As for Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Battle Ground was taken down by Prairie 68-33 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Battle Ground was down 37-15.
