On Friday, the Mountain View Toros faced the Red Mountain Mountain Lions in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mountain View walked away with a 28-21 victory over Red Mountain. Winning may never get old, but Mountain View sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Mountain View was led to victory by Jack Germaine and Isaac Jean-pierre. Germaine threw for 258 yards on 19 of 28 attempts, while Jean-pierre rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Riggs Metcalf made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
When it comes to explaining why Red Mountain lost, one person who can't be blamed is IsaiaH Savoie. Despite the final result, he rushed for 153 yards.
Mountain View's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.3 points per game. As for Red Mountain, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
