Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Snow Hill Eagles, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a hard 34-18 fall against Kent County on Thursday. Snow Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kent County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Friday.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zyheem Collick, who picked up 101 receiving yards and a touchdown. Justin Shipley was another key contributor, throwing for 173 yards and a touchdown on only 15 passes.
Snow Hill's loss was their third straight at home , which bumped their record down to 5-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Kent County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
Snow Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kent County will square off against Cambridge-South Dorchester at TBD on Friday. Cambridge-South Dorchester is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
