Bolton is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Ellington is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bolton Bulldogs will take on the Ellington Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Monday, Bolton really took it to Stafford for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-19 win at home. The team accrued 34 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Bolton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makenna Graves led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Diehl, who scored 14 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, everything went Ellington's way against East Windsor on Tuesday as Ellington made off with a 41-21 win. Given Ellington's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while East Windsor is ranked 78th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bolton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Ellington, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
