The Cajon Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cajon is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
With a playoff game on the line, Cajon rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against Pacifica by a score of 27-17.
Evan Powell was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Powell was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards. Cajon also got a significant boost from Jamel Sly, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 134 yards.
Etiwanda typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday St. Bonaventure proved too difficult a challenge. St. Bonaventure strolled past Etiwanda with points to spare, taking the game 43-26. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for St. Bonaventure's ten-point performance the matchup before.
Koen Glover had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Anthony Wolter was another key contributor, throwing for 209 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 8-3.
