The Buffalo Bison kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a rough 60-28 loss at the hands of Sparta. Buffalo lost against Sparta in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 63-37 score last time.
Buffalo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Braden Mcgregor, who scored 10 points, and Matthew Skinner who scored 5 points.
Jacob Lafferty was a one-man wrecking crew for Sparta as he scored 35 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowdy Ball, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Sparta, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo will face off against Eldon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sparta, they will head out on the road to face off against Mountain Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
