After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Deer Valley, the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 73-37 win over Westwood. That looming 73-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mountain Ridge yet this season.
Jaiden Thompson was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Dennis, who scored nine points.
Mountain Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Westwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Mountain Ridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. O'Connor will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Westwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Basha at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
