Silver Lake is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Sabetha is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Silver Lake Eagles will take on the Sabetha Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Silver Lake blew past Minneapolis, posting a 58-7 win at home.
Sabetha never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Atchison County last Friday. They blew past the Tigers 71-6 at home.
Colin Menold was on fire: he rushed for 99 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Menold was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Kramer, who rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 8-1.
Silver Lake couldn't quite finish off Sabetha in their previous matchup back in November of 2017 and fell 17-14. Will Silver Lake have more luck at home instead of on the road?
