Baseball Recap: ABF Academy Triumphs

ABF Academy was handed a 11-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the King's Academy Lions 3-2.

Juan Fernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because ABF Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise.

At the plate, ABF Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Bravo, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple. That triple marked the first that Bravo hit this season.

The win got ABF Academy back to even at 7-7. As for King's Academy, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

ABF Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Boca Raton on the 25th. As for King's Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Flanagan on the 25th.
