The Napa Grizzlies pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to De Anza at home by a decisive 73-58 margin. Napa lost against De Anza in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-55 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Napa lost, one person who can't be blamed is Christian Williams. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 2 assists. Jayden Quintana was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
De Anza found their leader in underclassman Ahmari Otis, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacari Madison, who scored 13 points.
Napa's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for De Anza, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Napa will head out on the road to face off against California at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for De Anza, they will be playing at home against Swett at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th.
