OIL CITY, Pa. -
Cathedral Prep (Erie, Pa.) bested Oil City (Pa.) 70-26 on the strength of
Billy Fessler, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a Fessler touchdown pass to
Felix Manus-Schell in the first quarter, the Ramblers led 56-14 at the half.
Cathedral Prep expanded its lead to 69 points entering the fourth quarter. CP scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
ShaQuon Thrower.
A big 42-point first quarter helped the Erie school secure the win. The Ramblers scored on a Fessler touchdown pass to Manus-Schell, a touchdown pass by Fessler to
DeAngelo Malone, a Fessler touchdown pass to
Alex Greenwalt, a
Jake DeHart touchdown run, a defensive touchdown and a punt return touchdown by Manus-Schell in the quarter.
Fessler played well for Cathedral Prep in the victory. The senior quarterback threw four touchdowns. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
The loss comes after Oil City defeated Conneaut Area 24-21 last week. The loss snapped Oil City's two-game winning streak.
