Cimarron is 1-9 against Scott since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cimarron Bluejays will be playing at home against the Scott Beavers at 8:00 p.m. Cimarron will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Scott is ranked 26th).
Last Saturday, Cimarron was the victim of a rough 55-35 loss at the hands of Pawhuska.
Meanwhile, Scott put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by La Junta on the road to the tune of 67-28.
It was another big night for Sage Stoecklein, who scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Jackson Rumford, who scored 9 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Cimarron's victory pushed their record up to 1-3, while Pawhuska's bumped their own up to the opposite: 3-1.
Cimarron was dealt a bruising 65-31 defeat at the hands of Scott in their previous matchup back in January. Can Cimarron avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
