The Holston Cavaliers will head out to face off against the Chilhowie Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Holston took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Northwood get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Rily Cobler made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Katie Remine was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kinsey Bradley also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Chilhowie not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 22-0). Everything went their way against Rural Retreat as they made off with a 12-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the game before.
The team relied heavily on Payton Hester, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Denessa Martin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Chilhowie's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Holston, their record now sits at 9-5.
Holston couldn't quite finish off Chilhowie in their previous matchup back in April and fell 12-10. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
