Calhoun Academy came tearing into  Tuesday's  match with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  an   8-3  win over Lee Academy. That's more bragging rights for Calhoun Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Caiden Farmer made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out 12 batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. He is becoming a predictor of Calhoun Academy's success: when he posts  at  least eight  strikeouts the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't). Farmer was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Jake Allen was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Levi Walls, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
Calhoun Academy pushed their record up to 9-7 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Lee Academy,  they are  on  a  16-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 Looking ahead, Calhoun Academy will square off against Delta Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. We've got a battle between Cougars coming up.
