Berry hasn't had much luck against Ardrey Kell recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Berry Cardinals will host the Ardrey Kell Knights at 6:00 p.m. Berry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Berry will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Chambers on Monday. Berry put the hurt on Chambers with a sharp 21-4 win. The Cardinals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Tyler Davis was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Davis was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Berry is 3-1 when Davis posts two or more stolen bases, but 0-5 otherwise.
In other pitching news, Aiden Lowery looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Marquise McNair, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eddy Berihuete, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Berry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ardrey Kell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Watauga by a score of 5-1 on Saturday.
Ardrey Kell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Bria, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Bryce Mancz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Ardrey Kell's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Berry, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Berry has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ardrey Kell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
