The Tintic Miners will head out on the road to face off against the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Tintic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Monday.
Last Monday, Tintic lost to Intermountain Christian on the road by a decisive 42-24 margin. Tintic has not had much luck with Intermountain Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Tintic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mariana Pe?a, who scored 1 points along with 12 rebounds and 8 blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Jordan Conder was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 3 blocks.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Gunnison Valley had to settle for a 31-29 defeat against Waterford on Tuesday.
Tintic's victory lifted them to 1-5 while Intermountain Christian's defeat dropped them down to 3-2.
Tintic was dealt a bruising 46-19 loss at the hands of Gunnison Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Tintic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
