The Naples Classical Academy pushed their score all the way to 55 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-55 to The Village School of Naples. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Naples Classical of the 61-56 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 9th.
Naples Classical's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colman Gillen, who scored 14 points. Daniel Coldiron was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Naples Classical's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for The Village School of Naples, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8.
Naples Classical's road trip will continue as they head out to face Island Coast at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. The Village School of Naples does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
