Hacker has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Hacker was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Ava Mangiapane was  incredible,  going 5-for-6 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Nicole Tapson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-5.
 Gonzales' loss was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Carmel, the  victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gonzales will take on Watsonville at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Carmel, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Pacific Grove at 4:30  p.m. Carmel is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.1  runs per game this season.
