Softball Recap: Memorial Wins Going Away Against Whitesboro

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against S & S Consolidated, Memorial was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Whitesboro Bearcats 14-2. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Memorial's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Cooper, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

The victory got Memorial back to even at 1-1. As for Whitesboro, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.

Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-2 win against Mesquite on the 14th. As for Whitesboro, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-2 victory against Memorial on the 14th.
