Meanwhile, Greater Johnstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Westmont Hilltop, falling 12-1.
LJ Dunbar made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
The victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Greater Johnstown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Greater Johnstown's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Forest Hills has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Greater Johnstown, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Forest Hills' sizable advantage in that area, the Trojans will need to find a way to close that gap.
Forest Hills got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Greater Johnstown by a conclusive 10-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
