The East/World of Inquiry put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Webster Schroeder 28-14. Given East/World of Inquiry's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Webster Schroeder is ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Zymier Jackson was his usual excellent self, throwing for 260 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Diaz, who picked up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Webster Schroeder's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Drew Hilfiker, who threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns.
East/World of Inquiry's victory was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37 points. As for Webster Schroeder, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
East/World of Inquiry has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Canandaigua Academy at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Canandaigua Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Webster Schroeder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
