It was another big night for Devin Holmon, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was DaShawn Prince, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Omaha North had strong showings from Ban Yor, who scored eight points, and Deandre' Harper, who scored five points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yor has scored all season.
Omaha Central's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Omaha North, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Omaha Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Millard North at 3:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. One thing working in Millard North's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Omaha North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Benson at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benson is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
