The Sterling Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-24 walloping at the hands of Alliance. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sterling in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Sterling lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tatym Dempcy. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Alliance's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaelynne Clarke, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clarke has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Hudson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Sterling has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Alliance, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
