Ryan Busler was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brendan Calderon, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Robbie Levy, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Central Florida Christian Academy came up short against Jones last Tuesday and fell 8-5. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like First Baptist Christian Academy, Central Florida Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Elijah Brenyo. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs while striking out 12 over 5.1 innings pitched. Brenyo has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
Brenyo wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Casey Nipper, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-5. Nipper has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. First Baptist Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Central Florida Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
