The Allen East Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Ada 63-14 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-4.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Allen East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rilynn Jones, who scored 16 points along with five steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least 25% of Allen East's points. Savana Brooks was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Allen East's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Ada, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Allen East will square off against Jonathan Alder at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ada, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
