The Marsing Huskies will head out to take on the Cole Valley Christian Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marsing is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.
Marsing easily dispatched Nyssa on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Marsing fell just short of Payette by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Levi Puga put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Dresden Wood was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Marcos Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cole Valley Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 21-6 margin over Firth on Saturday. That looming 21-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Chargers yet this season.
Like Marsing, Cole Valley Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Lucas Guray. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Guray was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carson Kile, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Dylan Irish was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Cole Valley Christian's record is now 5-2. As for Marsing, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Marsing couldn't quite get it done against Cole Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can Marsing avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
