The Opp Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-46 walloping at the hands of Brantley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Opp has suffered since January 6th.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dorian Harris, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Damirian Thompson, who scored nine points.
It was another big night for Jayden Parks, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals for Brantley. Parks is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played. Daylan Davis was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Opp's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Brantley, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Opp will take on McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully McKenzie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Thursday. As for Brantley, they will head out on the road to face off against Elba at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
