Rochester (Ill.) extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 46-21 victory over
Notre Dame (Peoria, Ill.) on Saturday.
The Rockets were up 32-14 at the half after taking the lead on a kick return touchdown by
CJ Baker in the first quarter.
Rochester expanded its lead to 32 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by
Austin Green to
Blake Pasley.
The Rockets' standout player in the win was
Garret Dooley. The senior ran for three touchdowns and caught one touchdown. A member of the Top 25 Inside Linebackers, Dooley has now scored 28 touchdowns on the season.
Cole Kuntzman played well for the Irish. He ran for one touchdown.
Notre Dame came in surrendering 16.0 points per game this season. ND struggled against Rochester's offense, which entered the game scoring 45.0 points per game.
The loss snapped the Peoria school's 2-game winning streak.
