The Independence Mustangs won the last time they faced the Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers, and things went their way on Friday too. Independence enjoyed a cozy 30-13 win over Center Point-Urbana.
Independence is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Center Point-Urbana, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Independence will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Mt. Vernon will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Center Point-Urbana does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
