The Wheaton Academy Warriors will face off against the Bartlett Hawks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Wheaton Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Wheaton Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Lisle a 14-0 shutout. The Warriors have beaten the Lions the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.
Charlie Scherer looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wheaton Academy is 6-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 10-12 otherwise.

Bartlett's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Vince Kamarat, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
