Not much got past Kennedy Adams, who gave up just three hits to keep Continental off the board. Adams has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Evy McAlexander was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Baird, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Bryan posted their closest victory since May 31, 2024 on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Wauseon 3-2. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Thea Staten spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 15 Ks.
On the hitting side, Bryan's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Amiyah Langham, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Bryan's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Hicksville, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Hicksville suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Bryan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Aces have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
