The McIntosh Demons will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Leroy Bears at 6:00 p.m. McIntosh will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only McIntosh walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 88-17 victory over the Pirates at home. McIntosh has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, even though Bayshore Christian scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Leroy still came out on top. Leroy had just enough and edged Bayshore Christian out 62-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Leroy.
Leroy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ray Phillips out in front who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Phillips has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Malik Howell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
McIntosh's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Leroy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.
McIntosh strolled past Leroy in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 62-47. Will McIntosh repeat their success, or does Leroy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
