Heritage Academy is 0-10 against Christian Fellowship since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Heritage Academy Warrior will look to defend their home court against Christian Fellowship at 7:15 p.m. The timing isn't great for Heritage Academy: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Christian Fellowship has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
Heritage Academy pushed their score all the way to 63 back in December of 2023, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 77-63 to Crosspoint Christian.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 28-28 at halftime, Christian Fellowship was not quite Sunnydale Academy's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Christian Fellowship took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunnydale Academy. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Christian Fellowship came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Sunnydale Academy is ranked 268th).
Despite their defeat, Christian Fellowship saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jake Davis, who scored 15 points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Luke Davis was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and five steals.
Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Christian Fellowship, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.
Heritage Academy was dealt a bruising 61-21 loss at the hands of Christian Fellowship in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Heritage Academy was down 33-10.
