Union Pines had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the 13-goal drubbing they dealt Scotland on Friday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Fighting Scots. The result was nothing new for Union Pines, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Scotland from everywhere, as nine different players booted in a goal. Taryn Pekala led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Union Pines pushed their record up to 11-3-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Scotland, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.
