The Sulphur Bulldogs will challenge the Victory Christian Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sulphur will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
Last Friday, Sulphur humbled Seminole with a 49-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matchups by 35 points or more so far this season.
Sulphur can attribute much of their success to Maddax Mobly, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and Jett Runyan, who picked up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown. Mobly was even better on defense, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making six total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Sulphur wouldn't let Seminole keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Sulphur can thank Briar Davenport and Mobly for forcing both of them.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Victory Christian). They breezed by Mannford to the tune of 64-16 on Friday.
Sulphur's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Victory Christian, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
