The Blytheville Chickasaws lost against the Rivercrest Colts back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Blytheville lost to Rivercrest on the road by a decisive 31-12 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Blytheville in their matchups with Rivercrest: they've now lost four in a row.
Rivercrest was led to victory by Michael Rainer and Koby Turner. Rainer gained 151 total yards and two touchdowns, while Turner rushed for 182 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Rainer was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.
Blytheville's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Rivercrest, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Blytheville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rivercrest will be playing in front of their home fans against Mena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mena is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
