After two games on the road, St. John XXIII is heading back home. They will take on the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. John XXIII beat the Bulldogs 40-34.
Meanwhile, Lutheran South Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Bulldogs on Friday, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lutheran South Academy.
Makynna Robbins was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 21 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 19 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Annaliese De la pena, who scored ten points.
The win got St. John XXIII back to even at 8-8. As for Lutheran South Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-12 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
St. John XXIII beat the Pioneers 52-42 when the teams last played back in January. Will St. John XXIII repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
