After a string of seven wins, the Northmor Golden Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell to Fredericktown 63-57. Northmor was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fredericktown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Northmor's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jax Wenger, who scored 18 points along with six assists. Grant Bentley was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Northmor's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Fredericktown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northmor will square off against Wynford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fredericktown, they will head out on the road to face off against Centerburg at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fredericktown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 443 points over their last seven matches.
