It was a good run, but Spring Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers.

Rayahna Appleberry paced Spring Valley's offense, picking up five kills. Appleberry got some help from Isabella Talde and her nine assists. Cidney Fulton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Batesburg-Leesville to victory were Genevieve Potts and Carley Soper. Potts had seven digs and three aces, while Soper had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Potts has posted over her last eight games.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Batesburg-Leesville, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-1.

Spring Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Westside on the 23rd. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Brookland-Cayce on the 23rd.
