The North Moore Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Seaforth Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Moore is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, North Moore made easy work of the Buccaneers and carried off a 75-50 win.
It was another big night for Colby Pennington, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Austin Patterson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Seaforth's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 70-38 loss at the hands of Northwood. While losing is never fun, Seaforth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Chargers are ranked 57th).
North Moore's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Seaforth, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
North Moore ended up a good deal behind the Hawks when the teams last played back in January, losing 64-45. Can North Moore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
