The Southmoore SaberCats lost against the Broken Arrow Tigers back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Southmoore was dealt a 82-29 defeat at the hands of Broken Arrow. While losing is never fun, Southmoore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Broken Arrow is ranked 48th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Broken Arrow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rekiah Bowen, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. Macy Marraccini was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Southmoore's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Broken Arrow, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Southmoore will head out on the road to face off against Stillwater at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Broken Arrow, they will be playing at home against Jenks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jenks and Broken Arrow are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
