Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Bishop LeBlond should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Lafayette at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Bishop LeBlond suffered a grim 14-39 defeat to Benton last week. Bishop LeBlond got a solid performance out of senior Frankie Gall, who picked up 82 yards on the ground and accumulated 101 passing yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, if Lafayette were riding high off their 46-15 takedown of Benton two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Lafayette were completely outmatched, falling 28-65 to Savannah. Lafayette's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
