Legacy Christian Academy (Frisco, Texas) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Adam Beck ran for a touchdown with 6:00 to go, bringing the team to victory over
Garland Christian Academy (Garland, Texas) 42-28.
The Eagles led 21-20 at halftime, but the Swordsmen recaptured the lead on a
Braxton Berry touchdown run with 9:00 left in the third.
Cody King played well for Garland Christian Academy. He threw one touchdown and caught two touchdowns. He has now scored 13 touchdowns on the season.
Legacy Christian Academy's standout player in the win was Beck. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns, ran for one touchdown and kicked one extra point. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
The victory was a step in the right direction for LCA, which was coming off a 45-17 defeat at the hands of Covenant Christian in its previous game.
