Pascack Valley has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Pascack Valley Panthers and the Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Sunday, Pascack Valley strolled past Dwight-Englewood with points to spare, taking the game 54-36. That 18 points margin sets a new team best for Pascack Valley this season.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Dwight Morrow and Fort Lee on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Dwight Morrow snuck past Fort Lee with a 60-55 victory. Given Dwight Morrow's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Fort Lee is ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pascack Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Dwight Morrow, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4.
Everything came up roses for Pascack Valley against Dwight Morrow in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 as the squad secured a 64-27 victory. Will Pascack Valley repeat their success, or does Dwight Morrow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
