After flying high against Jefferson RISE Charter on Tuesday, South Plaquemines came back down to earth. The South Plaquemines Hurricanes came up short against the East St. John Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 25-15. The Hurricanes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Shylen Prout and Mahki'Yah Brown stepped up to the plate in a big way. Prout went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Brown scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Keyia Davis also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
